What a great honor this was to have been contacted by Gourmet Magazine to be videotaped for their wonderful online website: www.gourmet.com All of us at Jeffrey’s Meat Market want to thank the Magazine for thinking of us and to let all of our readers know that we will be updating them upon release of the videos.

Jeffrey did a 4 hour video demonstration on “How to break down a Pig”, for Gourmet magazine this past Wednesday, April 22nd. If you had an opportunity to attend any of Jeffrey’s Butchering classes you will know that they usually last 2 hours. This was a very extensive and informative demonstration so please look for this release of the video on How to Break down a Pig, coming online by mid May. The piece with Jeffrey will be reduced to 8-10 minutes, this should be a blast to view! We will also post this on Jeffrey’s website in it’s entirety.
Gourmet Magazine had numerous butchers doing presentations by breaking down varius animals for their new series. Please watch out for this on their website.

Jeffrey began his Butchering career when he was 7 years old. He would tag along with his Dad and his Grandfather to the meat packing district early every morning. His job was to empty bags of sawdust on the floor. Prior to becoming a full time Butcher, Jeffrey had a few successful sales jobs where he was able to utilize his sales skills upon first arriving at the butcher shop by bringing in over 30 new clients for the wholesale meat and produce division cementing his contribution to the family business. A visit to Jeffrey’s Meat Market is more than buying meat. Jeffrey’s charismatic style and consummate knowledge of meat is enjoyed and relied upon by both his retail customers and his Restaurant Chefs alike. Besides doubling as an Art Gallery, there are random “Day of the Rose” celebrations that are celebrations of women, and of life. Jeffrey passes out dozens of roses because he believes, “Every woman is beautiful and every woman should have a rose”.
